First Baptist Church of Danvers is a multi-cultural, multi-generational church where the Gospel is clear and the people are friendly.
The church has been a part of the North Shore since 1793 and continues to be a place of community, faithfulness to the Gospel, and dedicated worship of God.
"On July sixteenth, in the year of our Lord two-thousand eighteen, we celebrate the two hundred twenty-fifth anniversary of the First Baptist Church in Danvers. We celebrate, quite literally, hundreds of years of community, faithfulness to the gospel, and dedicated worship of God. We celebrate this anniversary to commemorate the creation of one of the community's oldest religious institutions; an institution whose influence has helped shape the history and destiny of our town and the flavor of Danversport.
Throughout all the changes, Rev. Mulvihill has kept the scripture, prayer, and biblical preaching at the heart of everything we do. This has cultivated a loving generous, and friendly spirit among our multi-ethnic, multi-cultural congregation. Rev. Mulvihill and his family have been with us for 18 years and he still has a vital vision for the church in the years ahead. The congregation is blessed and is a blessing to others as a result of his long an faithful tenure at the First Baptist Church of Danvers. There is a good spirit of hope and expectation toward the future. God's faithfulness endures to all generations, and so as he has been faithful in our first 225 years, he will likewise be faithful to this church as we continue to follow him in faith and obedience.
Great is Thy faithfulness!"
